Volcanos

Spent the afternoon with Breanne and Garrett’s boys, 

 Isaac, 5

making good on the “date day” gift certificate we gave B & G last Christmas. 

 Travis, 10

We took along some homemade cinnamon rolls (big hit!)

and the makings for playdoh volcanos. 

Isaac was most interested in mixing colors, using up 3 full bottles(!) of food coloring,

with the fizzy explosions a secondary concern.

Travis preferred the explosions,

trying different methods to get the most bang from his vinegar and soda. 

So much fun!

And just a little messy. Hey, the food coloring will wear off eventually, right??

Next time we visit, Travis wants to help make cinnamon rolls (yay!!)

and I’ll find some color mixing projects - salt painting? - for Isaac. 

Note to self: don’t bother with the playdoh next time. Neither boy was very interested and the vinegar/playdoh mixture dissolved into a big mess. ☹️ Just go straight to the explosions!
