Today -

Sitting in front of a fire, eating cookies (me), strawberries (Jac) and cupcakes (that Leanne made), waiting for the girls’ dance party to resume.

Yesterday - Sitting beside the fire, watching these three play together.

I kinda like the week after Christmas.

Christmas Day

Such a wonderful day, filled with family, food, presents and happiness.

Ready and waiting for the grandkids to arrive.

Photo op #1 - baby in a box

The sack with her gifts is as big as Leanne!

Jac is excited.

Opening presents:

 Tastes like Christmas

Leia and Naia arrived in time for lunch (and more presents)

Thomas brought his Switch game system, which captivated all the kids (big kids too).

Gary forgot his beard ornaments so we had to improvise

Somebody is a little excited

That’s all, folks!

We’re Ready!

The stockings are up,

and trees are decorated.

Santa visits are complete,

Christmas lights have been admired,

and pillowcases are stuffed full with gifts.

All that remains is to wait for morning.

Merry Christmas, y’all!

First Christmas

Leia will be at her mom’s for Christmas this year

so we celebrated with her a wee bit early.

We’re trying something new this year - I’m making a holiday pillowcase for each grandchild to hold all their presents from us.

Leia was our test case and she loved the idea. Winner!

The biggest hits of the day were from her dad; a bow -

this one is kid sized and can grow with her into adulthood -

and a new Chromebook.

Hooray for Black Friday specials!

We had one present for her still outstanding - delivery date was next Monday - but as we were leaving for dinner the UPS guy drove up, handed Pop a box and said ‘surprise!’

So glad the chair arrived in time - and that she loves it.

Merry Christmas, sweet girl.
