Mammoth!

We got on the road almost on time this morning - 10:30 instead of 10:00 - after Pop had to repack the car three times (not joking) to get everything in.

No wifi or data plan, so traveling old school with DVD players

It’s amazing how much more Stuff you need when traveling with kids. The girls ended up with a duffle bag and a pile of blankets/pillows between them, and the floor space in front of Jac’s car seat was packed up to seat level.

But they were both good travelers, much better than I expected for a 6 hour car ride.

How do you entertain a 5 year old on a long car trip? Tell her the white stuff on the mountain is pterodactyl poop. She talked about that for over 30 minutes. And when that starts to wind down? We got another half hour of entertainment (for us too) by telling her the poop eventually turned to snow and “ewwww, don’t eat it”. 😂😂😂

Central level, with stairs down to bedrooms and up to loft, plus a sitting nook the girls claimed for themselves

Our condo was a big hit too.

Three levels, with a game loft -

foosball! board games!

skateboard shelves! twin beds to play on! -

and some crazy furniture. Horn chairs, anyone??

Jac was so excited about “her” bedroom (shared with Sissy)

that she started asking if it was time for bed at 6:30!

A big storm is rolling in - we’re supposed to get snow tomorrow morning - and it’s cold and windy but we had to go check out the nearby creek anyway before calling it a night.

Our condo has gold panning equipment we can use, so guess what else Jac is talking about non-stop? This is, quoting Jaclyn, “the best bacation EVER!”
