Sledding

The snow is melting fast*

so it took us awhile to find a nice hill for sledding.

Leanne took a couple of practice runs

learning to maneuver down a gentle slope -

and Jac took one run before emphatically saying “No. Thank you.” to another ride,

preferring to keep her feet planted on firm ground with the walking stick she swiped from Pop.

Then we moved to the “perfect” hill we’d spotted earlier.

Turns out ‘perfect’ was covered in a thick layer of ice from prior sledders.

Leanne got going so fast she scared herself and Pop lost his footing, sliding downhill on his knees and backside.

But! Leanne got up and took another super fun run,

and Pop was unhurt and took a turn on the sled before we called it quits.

All in all, another successful day in Jac’s “best bacation EVER.”

* There’s another big snow storm predicted for Friday; hopefully we’ll get out of town before it hits!
