Swimming Towel Vest

Isn't it funny how some things spark an immediate "must make that NOW" response? This tutorial from Diary of a Crafty Lady did that with me.

Saw it last Sunday on Pinterest (where else??),


bought the towels on Monday,

cut the pieces and started sewing yesterday, and had Leanne out modeling today.

This first one is for Addy. I have another Mickey/Minnie for Leanne, and a pink Hello Kitty for Leia. Fast, fun, easy project that's practical and can be used for years. And it's d*mn cute. Doesn't get any better than that.

Note to self: ties are 18" long.
