We Made It!

Today’s drive was shorter mileage-wise but those twisty, narrow roads had us going slooooooowwww.

Double-decker bridge near San Rafael

88 miles took over 2 1/2 hours (compared to yesterday’s 60 miles in 60 minutes, even in the rain.) But it was almost all ocean-view, all the way, which made it so much nicer.

We stopped for lunch in Bodega Bay, where a seal entertained us through the window, and the nearby ocean views were spectacular.

The girls slept for the twistyest part

and when they woke up,

we’d arrived at our home-away-from-home for the next four days.

Not bad, huh?

We stayed at Pt Arena Lighthouse once before, in 2010 with hubby’s brother and SIL.

Our backyard view

This time, my sister and her husband drove down from Oregon to share our 3-bedroom Lighthouse Keeper’s House

Exploring

and niece, Breanne, and family are renting another house nearby.

We had time tonight for dinner

Sunset by the pier

and a chat but the real fun starts tomorrow.

Egg hunt, Skunk train, giraffes, glass beach and more coming right up.
