Grateful: giant fluffy clouds over the desert.
Ungrateful: temperatures of 106.

Grateful: successful hip replacement surgeries
that take less than 2 hours.
Ungrateful: back-breakingly uncomfortable
waiting room chairs.

Grateful: hours (and hours) of crochet time
on a project I love.
Ungrateful: driving 2 hours each way
to get that time.

Grateful: well qualified surgeons and their support staffs,
and a father-in-law who is going to be fine.
Very, very grateful.
