Patriotic ER

I got to celebrate the 4th with three blue stitches, a white bandage and lots of red. So patriotic! 

My new, very sharp paring knife slipped as I was *carefully* cutting an avocado. The PA gave me so much lidocaine my whole hand went numb - and is still numb hours later - but when . . . if . . . it wears off I think this is going to hurt. Fortunately, they weren’t busy and we made it home from the ER in time for fireworks with the grandkids.

where Thomas’ band performed in the fireworks show. Hope all y’all had a fun, safe holiday.
