Measure Twice - Then Do It Again

Hubby's spent most of the week on his knees, crawling around the kitchen floor.
Doesn't it look great?
Since he's placing the tile at an angle, each piece has to be measured

- and a pattern made for each cut he needs to make -
then cut, put in place and remeasured,
then taken back up, cement troweled on
and finally put down for the last time.
Just a tad time consuming. The last step is roping the area off with caution tape to keep the baby grands (and his lovely wife) from accidentally walking on the tiles before the cement sets. He might not actually kill us if that happened, but it would definitely cross his mind.
