Bookworm

This afternoon, when Leia demanded politely asked to get into her highchair, I thought it was because she was hungry. Wrong. This is apparently her new favorite reading spot. And she had very specific ideas about the books she wanted. 'Baby, Look!', with its baby-finger-sized flaps, is a perennial favorite, as is 'Five Little Monkeys'.

In this, my favorite shot, Leia's waving her finger back and forth in time to her chanting 'no, no, no'. ("And the doctor says, 'No more monkeys jumping on the bed.'")

So incredibly cute. (And no, I'm not biased. Why do you ask??)

She also learned to say two new words: 'apple' when she wants applesauce; and just in case you don't get it, she'll go to the pantry and bring you the container; and 'cuckoo' because she's fascinated by the clock in my craft room. So much fun having little ones around.

Tomorrow - fiber!
Leave me alone, Grandma. I'm reading.

Love the "no no no" with the wagging finger. That made me laugh. Kids reading books. That's the best!
