Under The Sea

The second pattern in the Botanical Beauties BOM - Magnolia - was released this morning.

I planned to make a practice block again this month, and I was curious how this would look with a non-solid background - might as well experiment while I practice -

so I turned Jac loose with my scrap bin 

 “Look grandma, I’m a people-corn!”

and let her pick the colors (I vetoed her favorite eye-wateringly bright red . . .)

A few hours later,

with fewer mistakes than last month (yay!),

and ‘Under The Sea’ is done. Hubby and I both like this one a lot, so it’ll probably become a mug rug/table cover at some point. I’ll get to the “real” block after we get back from our mini vacay to Cambria this weekend. Looking forward to both.
