String Block, A Story of Firsts

Leanne’s first time using a rotary cutter (with Klutz glove!);

first time sewing on paper,

and finger-pressing,

and ironing,

and creating a string quilt block. 

When we started, Leanne was most excited about getting to use my rotary cutter (big girl tools!) until she discovered how hard it was to operate. By the time we were done, her absolute favorite thing was the ironing. Maybe because I kept chanting ‘be careful, don’t burn yourself, pleeeeeeease be careful’? You’re definitely a big girl if you get to iron by yourself.
