New Old Window
Awhile back, hubby found this antique stained glass window in a local shop.
It was a bit big, so he trimmed it up,
then built a hinged frame using antique oak he had leftover from the glass door project.
Today was hanging day. After a couple of false starts (who knew 1/16th of an inch could make the difference between success and $%$ when it came to hinges???) the old hole in the wall*
is now this gorgeous piece of art.
And he added tiny LED lights inside the case so the glass is backlit at night. So beautiful.
* Once upon a time, when we first bought the house, this was an exterior wall and that window looked out onto the back yard. Now it looks at the back of a cabinet in my craft room.
