Pretty Fishies

Friday we took a day trip with Jaclyn to see “fisheees”.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center is the perfect size for little ones. And best of all, kids are encouraged to touch and explore.

Jac couldn’t believe she was really allowed to put her hand in the water 

and touch the starfish, sea cucumbers and sea anemones - 

and the anemones “hugged” her back by closing their spines around her finger, something I’d never seen before. 

My favorite exhibit is always the jellyfish 

but Jac wasn’t impressed. 

Can’t touch them? Moving on. 

We explored the second floor for a short time

but Jac just wanted to go back downstairs

to the tide pools.
